What are process waters?

Process waters are water systems that used in a commercial or manufacturing premises which are not regularly discharged to a wastewater system.

The common systems in this category are :-

• Cutting fluid
• Heating waters
• Cooling waters
• Make-up water
• Tap water (not drinking)
• Grey water
• Fire sprinkler tanks

There are also “High Purity” process waters, most often for the medical and electronic facilities such as :-

• Dialysis waters
• Endoscopy waters
• Renal unit waters
• Semi-conductor waters
