Most stadiums are dedicated to a particular sport whose season runs for just part of the year.

The premises can fluctuate from 50,000 people down to just 50 within 24 hours.

The water systems are designed to cope with the anticipated high capacity usage but how good is your water hygiene regime during the off-system? Apart from the players’ changing room showers, there are kitchens & toilets for both fans and staff.

Even more important is the irrigation system, this is probably unused for several months then suddenly the pitch sprinklers emit an enormous aerosol of stagnant water!
