Legionella Water Filters
Legionella water filters are used for two main reasons
- For clinical reasons, such as healthcare where the water produced must be free from bacteria all of the time.
- In non-clinical water system such as care homes, offices or sport facilities where they have found bacterial contamination but want to keep the water systems operational whilst the issue is addressed.
These filters are actually bacteria water filters because they prevent all types of bacteria passing through them, not just legionella. In hospitals they are used to trap waterborne bacteria such as:-
- Pseudomonas aeruginosa
- E.Coli
- Stenotrophomonas
- Mycobacterium tuberculosis
- Leptospira
- Clostridium difficile (C.diff)
- Campylobacter
- Klebsiella pneumoniae
